Study on the Pattern of Antisperm Antibody in the Women with Unexplained Infertility

Abstract
|
|
|
Author studies sperm agglutination tests and sperm immobilization tests on. 13 women with unexplained infertility, and 15 women with 2ndary or organic infertility and 17, multipara women as control.
The results obtained were as follows:
1) Age distribution of 13 women with unexplained infertility was concentrate on the age group of 25-29 years old.
2) Sperm agglutination tests were positive in 53.8% of Group A, 60% of Group B, and 52.9% of Group C. Sperm agglutinin seems to be produced after marriage, as a result of exposure to semen. It is a kind of anti sperm antibody, which does not impair fertility.
3) Sperm immobilization tests were positive in 23.1% of Group A, 6.6% of Group B, and 0% Group C, The result of sperm immobilization tests showed a significant difference between patient with unexplained infertility and other group tests. Sperm immobilizing antibody seems to be one which impairs fertility.
4) Sterile women with sperm immobilizing Antibody had no physical abnormality. These result could be used for immunological approach to fertili-zation control.
